HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Sr. Pastor Steven Downing answered the call to Pastor in March of 2002, while at the same time, the Holy Spirit was stirring Dr. Pamela J. Smith-Downing that God was calling them to a higher calling. As a result of stepping out on faith and answering the call from Jesus to the call of Pastors, Victorious Christian Living Ministries (VCLM) was birthed in Prince George, VA.  The ministry started in the home of Sr. Pastor Steven and Dr. Pamela J. Smith-Downing. After four months, our pastors stepped out on faith with one other member and moved the fellowship to the Comfort Inn Ballroom in Hopewell, VA. 

God increased the fellowship and services held in Hopewell, VA. In 2016, our ministry started serving in Chesterfield County. However, in August 2022, our ministry started serving in Petersburg, VA. We are truly called to the Tri-cities areas, and we anticipate the great work to be done in Petersburg, VA.

VCLM is founded on the scripture I John 5:4, which mandates that the Kingdom of God citizens be taught that they can overcome every obstacle and be victorious in every area of their lives. Each member is known as an investor, as we are committed to investing our time, talents, and treasures in the Kingdom of God and conquering every obstacle.

VISION

The vision of Victorious Christian Living Ministries is unwavering and clear. Since its inception in 2002, the ministry has been dedicated to teaching people of God, of all races and walks of life, to be victorious in every area of their lives. This vision is rooted in I John 5:4, “For whatsoever is born of God over-cometh the world: and this is the victory that over-cometh the world, even our faith. VCLM is a teaching ministry with a mandate to teach and preach in simplicity the word of God that will cause God’s people to walk in total victory.  Our pastors, both veterans, have a strong connection to the Military. They have trained hundreds of soldiers and their families on Kingdom principles, and these principles have been carried throughout the states and various countries. The foundation vision of VCLM is to win souls and train souls to win souls. We invite you to join us in this mission and be part of our vision for a victorious Christian living.

COMMUNITY and INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH

Victorious Christian Living Ministries has been involved with feeding and clothing the needy, assisting families experiencing hardships, counseling, sowing into local and non-local churches, sending missionaries worldwide, and sowing into local and non-local missions since its existence. Community outreach is also demonstrated via door-to-door evangelism, online ministry, and strategic community outreach initiatives.

MIRACLES

God has blessed victorious Christian Living Ministries to witness numerous healings, courtroom miracles, and debt elimination. The ministry gifts of faith are operating in the lives of VCLM investors, and we give God all the glory.

OUR FUTURE

The Victorious Christian Living Ministries have an exciting future; God’s word declares, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” I Corinthians 2:9. God has revealed to us through our pastors many visions and dreams for this ministry. We are excited about our future and know that God will supply our needs according to His riches in glory. We see all races in our ministry coming together, agreeing and with one accord to further the kingdom here on earth, to seek out and help lead thousands to Jesus Christ while meeting the physical needs of the less fortunate. We will continue to train investors on Kingdom Prosperity (health, mind, and finances). We will accomplish our vision by erecting a Victorious Christian Living Campus, which will consist of an education center, youth/teen center, residence for misplaced individuals, child development center, senior citizen residence, café, gym, credit union, conference center, banquet hall, barber salon, beauty salon, and nail salon. We call this vision forth in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. AMEN and AMEN!
